Abstract

Driven by the dual forces of the digital economy and the development of new-quality productive forces, the water resources and power industry is accelerating its transition toward intelligence and sustainability. As the core pillar supporting the industry’s financial digital transformation, the alignment between talent supply and sectoral demands has become a critical constraint on this transformation. Based on the unique characteristics of the water resources and power industry, this paper identifies the core competency requirements for intelligent accounting professionals, analyzes current talent cultivation practices and outstanding challenges, and establishes a talent development framework aligned with industry needs across four key dimensions—education objectives, curriculum design, practical training, and faculty development—to facilitate high-quality growth in the sector.
