Abstract

In the context of globalization and the construction of curriculum-based ideological-political education, college English teaching serves as the forefront of cross-cultural ideological dialogue and carries the important mission of “implicit ideological education”. This study constructs a college English ideological-political education model based on the Output-Oriented Approach (POA) and the BOPPPS teaching model, integrating the objectives of “value shaping, knowledge transmission, and ability cultivation” as a whole. The study further takes a teaching design of a unit from the college English textbook as an example to demonstrate the implementation of this teaching model in teaching practice. The researcher focuses on a layered goal system of value education (understanding, believing, practicing) to design teaching tasks that promote a cycle of motivating, enabling, and assessing. Teaching practice shows that this model effectively enhances students’ sense of social responsibility and patriotism through the organic integration of language output tasks and political education elements, while also strengthening their cross-cultural communication skills and critical thinking abilities.
