Abstract

Amid the rapid advancement of digital technologies and the transformation of communication media, Sichuan Opera faces both significant challenges and unprecedented opportunities. A pressing issue is how to enable mutual empowerment between two modes of communication—“in-person interaction” and “online interaction.” Addressing the fragmentation and impediments in energy flow between these modes requires a return to the intrinsic relationship between the artistic essence of Sichuan Opera and the interactive logic of digital media. By clarifying the functional positioning of “in-person” and “online” forms, this study proposes adaptive niche differentiation, promotes value transformation, and advances the development of a synergistic and symbiotic mechanism of integrated communication. Ultimately, it seeks to construct a sustainable and organically evolving communication ecology. This research provides a theoretical framework for understanding the digital survival and integrative dissemination ecology of traditional theater, and offers practical implications for promoting the dissemination and development of Sichuan Opera and other forms of traditional performing arts.
