Abstract

Digital technologies are reshaping the global publishing industry, and traditional publishing houses in China are facing both challenges and opportunities in their digital transformation. This paper examines the models of digital technology adoption and application in the publishing industries of China and the United States. By comparing their key measures, depth of technology integration, and innovative fusion models, the study provides a comprehensive assessment of the two countries’ transformation practices. This cross-cultural analysis reveals the mature experience of American digital publishing while highlighting the differences in talent development, user strategies, and business model innovation within China’s publishing sector. Based on these insights, this study proposes strategic recommendations for China’s publishers to enhance technological integration, improve transformation effectiveness, and promote international exchange and collaboration in the publishing industry.
