As the country attaches increasing importance to enhancing China’ s cultural soft power and telling China’ s story well, many foreign language majors offer Chinese culture courses in the senior years. SFLEP’ s A Concise Course on Chinese Culture (Spanish Edition) is an early textbook widely used in Spanish major teaching. It covers twelve units with rich and complete content, including national formation, thought and philosophy, language and writing, literature and art, food and folk customs, traditional Chinese medicine and sports, etc. However, the rich and comprehensive course design usually only has 32 class hours in actual teaching, and students› ability to output cultural topics in Spanish is limited. In consecutive years of teaching, the author modularly reorganized the teaching content, introduced from a cross-cultural perspective through Chinese-Western cultural comparison, used task-driven Spanish output, and set up a diversified evaluation system. This design balances language training and cultural expression within limited class hours, and students› willingness and ability to tell Chinese culture in Spanish have both improved.Downloads
