Abstract

Dual-teacher co-cultivation is the critical leap by which faculty building in digital-intelligent media industry colleges moves from formal mutual appointment to substantive coordination. Situated in the policy context of industry-education integration and the industrial context in which generative artificial intelligence is reshaping the media industry, this paper speculatively deconstructs the operating mechanism of dual-teacher co-cultivation. It argues that real commercial projects constitute the minimal effective field of co-cultivation; that capability co-training, curriculum co-development, project co-supervision, and evaluation co-determination form its operating chain; and that benefit sharing and institutional safeguards determine its sustainability. Loose coordination forms, imbalanced incentive structures, drifting identity recognition, and stalled capability iteration are the main blockages to implementation. Accordingly, four optimization paths are proposed—institutional embedding, laddered certification, two-way rotation, and evaluation fusion—providing a theoretical reference for faculty building in digital-intelligent media industry colleges.
